From time to time, we are asked about our process for measuring the power spectral density (PSD) of our UWB radios. This can be tricky, as our transmissions are extremely low power and noise-like. But with a decent spectrum analyzer and the right settings, the output of our radio can be viewed in all its ultra wide glory.

- The hardware used in this video is the U.S. FCC-certified version of the PulsON 440 (P440) module.
- Bill demonstrated the measurement process using both our RangeNet localization software and our Channel Analysis Tool (CAT) software to drive the signaling.
- The tests were conducted over a cable and using attenuation to replicate transmission over the air. This is the method our team uses as it produces the cleanest look at the transmitted spectrum.
